A close source to Apple has confirmed the next version of Apple TV which is slated to release every soon and will be priced at $99. He said Apple has been developing this for quite a long before the Google’s WebTV announcement. The new Apple TV will be full 1080p HD capable and the architecture will be based on iPhone4 which means it will have iPhone OS and not OS X-lite, a much similar A4 processor along with minimal 16GB flash storage.
The device will be very small in size and will feature only two ports for power and video out. Infact Apple is terming this new device” an iPhone without a screeen”. From the same sources we came to know that Apple TV is moving away from local storage to cloud based storage. Although there will be option for an external storage for those folks who want to keep their content with them.
We might not here more about Apple TV anytime soon as the next Apple’s WWDC is much focused on new iPhone 4G.
